Halley wins the BPET Poetry Competition 2025

Halley House School is part of a multi-academy trust (BPET) who organises sports and themed competitions amongst all schools it supports. The BPET Poetry Recital Competition aims to celebrate the world of words and poetry, and the enjoyment of performing poetry live to an audience. The competition encourages reading, exercising memory function, and building confidence in public speaking.

This year, our Year 5 pupils have done us proud by winning the finals attended by eight schools with a total of over 70 pupils! Every child poured their heart into their verses, earning rounds of applause and cheers from the enthusiastic audience. By the end of the day, the judges selected the winners - our Year 5 pupils - for their brilliant and creative rendition of their chosen poems!
