Royal Academy: Young Artists' Summer Show
Our talented pupils recently submitted their impressive artworks to the Royal Academy Young Artists' Summer Show for the exciting possibility of having their artwork recognised in the internationally renowned museum. This opportunity has motivated our children to dedicate themselves to their personal art projects, working diligently at home. on their own, to bring their creative ideas to life.
Our specialist Art Teacher Ms Hodgson, who has been supporting the children throughout the process, was moved by their hard work and artistic growth. She said: "the dedication and focus shown by the pupils in pursuing their personal art projects is truly inspiring." Ms Hodgson highlighted the wide array of mediums explored, from 3D effects and vibrant canvas paintings to detailed fashion illustrations and strong observational pencil drawings. She added: "the children's use of colour, line, and their ability to understand and incorporate negative space demonstrated remarkable creativity."
Although the results are yet to be announced, this annual competition has been an opportunity for pupils to improve their artistic skills and gain recognition for their efforts. Our school community is immensely proud of the children's dedication, and looks forward to supporting them on their journeys.
