Lunch

We believe that the experience of eating together, and the lessons learnt during this time, help develop the whole child. We understand the importance of providing children with nutritious food throughout the day. Not only this is important for their physical growth, but also helps their focus and concentration, and therefore their learning.

Our in-house chefs provide pupils with freshly cooked, healthy, tasty food, every day. Ingredients are sourced locally and from the wider world, so that children grow up appreciating global cuisines and cultures, tasting a wide range of flavours and eating a variety of nutrients.

Older children as role models

We encourage all children to take on responsibility, be supportive and also being a role model. To this intent, our salad bar is occasionally manned by older children who serve the younger ones.

Eating times is staggered throughout the school in order to ensure an orderly lunch break.

Menu

We work with Harrison catering company, and our lunch menus operate on a three-week rotation, so that the pupils have variety in their meals.

We cater for all dietary requirements and every day we offer a choice between vegetarian and meat - including Halal. Every week we have the ever popular Fishy Friday where the pupils enjoy different types of fish, freshly oven cooked chips and peas or beans.

In addition, children have access to a rich a salad bar and homemade bread in a self-serve area, so they can have as much as they like! Dessert is fresh fruit or yogurt.
